After buying this dress a few years ago, it took me a while to style the dress in a way that suited me.
The cut of the dress, although different, was not particularly flattering.
I added a black belt tied around the waist to give a better shape and silhouette to the dress, as well as to provide more detail to the overall outfit.
The vibrancy of the fuchsia bag and teal jacket provide a stark contrast from the black dress and monochrome heels, making the outfit pop. I personally like how the contrasting colours compliment not only each other well, but the outfit as a whole. The jacket and bag could certainly be considered statement pieces due to their bright shades. A nice bag in particular is always a wise investment into anyone's wardrobe - even if it is a bold choice!
The outfit could alternatively be worn with black tights and a pair of black ankle boots to make this more accessible for Autumn, as well as making it easier to wear during the day.
