Dress: Missguided (old) Coat: Primark (old) Bag: Accessorize (old) Shoes: Dune
A staple outfit in my collection - simple yet (hopefully) effective.
This outfit shows a more 'stereotypical' approach to autumn fashion, with the navy dress being more appropriate for the upcoming months. The cowl neck detail gives the dress extra dimension, making it slightly more interesting than a straight-forward bodycon. Pairing a bodycon dress with a longer coat, in my opinion, is a very classic look and is usually my 'go-to' during autumn/winter fashion - draped over the shoulders, the coat and dress together provide an effortless, put-together look. The cream trench coat and nude accessories help to soften the look, providing a contrast to the dark blue and enable it to be appropriate for the warmer days we may face at the beginning of autumn, such as when these photos were taken. The brooch detailing on the shoes and the bow on the clutch bag give this outfit a more interesting finish.
So far, New York and London Fashion Week have been, making the last few weeks very exciting for all the fashion enthusiasts out there. With Milan starting in the next few days and Paris only round the corner, it is exciting to see what looks will be making their way into our wardrobes in the next few months - and hopefully inspiring my posts.
