Summer Blues

Skirt: Zara  Top: Topshop  Coat: Primark  Necklace: Zara  Shoes: Guess  Bag: Accessorize  (all old)

These days, due to lack of funds and time, I rarely get the chance to go shopping. However, I recently found this skirt in Zara and despite me questioning how I would style when I got home, I thought it would be a nice addition to my wardrobe. With that being said, I usually avoid this shade of blue as I find it to be not as flattering on me as other colours and therefore my wardrobe wasn't exactly brimming with options that complimented the colour well.
In the end, I decided that the best way to style the skirt would be with this white blouse and (rather typically) my cream trench coat. It can be worn with or without the coat but as English weather is somewhat unpredictable, it makes the outfit a little more versatile. Accessorising this look also proved a little difficult for me when I was first putting it together, so it was almost inevitable that I would use this clutch bag - it features in so many of my looks as it pretty much goes with everything! However, after neglecting them for soooo long, I decided to finish the look with these blue court shoes (the colour match is nearly perfect) and a lime green necklace for an alternative pop of colour.

A big thank you to my friend Claudia for helping me with the photos!

Also, good luck to anyone who has exams in the next few weeks. I hope your hard work pays off!!
If you are anything like me, revision has certainly taken over :( I can't wait until summer is finally here and I can start enjoying the things that are most important to me!

Thank you for reading,
