Pretty in Pink

Dress: Missguided   Coat: Pretty Little Thing   Bag: Nine West   Shoes: Primark

I have had this dress for a few years now and after rediscovering it the other day when I was clearing out my wardrobe, I realised just how versatile it was and I have proceeded to wear it out on a few occasions ever since.
As we are moving closer to summer, white can be particularly flattering during the warmer months, especially (not that I would know) with a tan. However, living in England means that warm weather is not always the case so I decided to style this look with a pastel pink duster coat draped over the shoulder for an extra bit of warmth. Luckily, white goes with everything so you could wear it with numerous coats or jackets and it would look equally as appealing.
I finished the look off with my black and white heels and a black clutch bag in order to make the pink coat stand out. Alternatively, you could choose different coloured accessories to make more of a statement depending on your preference.

Thank you to my friend Claudia for helping me with the photos.

Stripy

Trousers: Topshop   Top: Missguided   Cardigan: Vintage   Bag: Accessorize  (all old)   Shoes: Dune

Unfortunately, this is the first time I've blogged in quite a while. With exam season only round the corner, it has been hard to find the time to do things I  actually enjoy and instead I have been spending endless days at home revising or finishing coursework :(

I am rarely found to wear anything other than skirts or dresses so for me, trousers are completely out of my comfort zone. Styling trousers or jeans isn't exactly something that comes particularly naturally to me but when I saw these trousers in Topshop a few months ago I was determined to make them work. The bold print works in  my favour as it doesn't necessarily require anything too fancy to make the outfit look put-together. The crop top I paired it with and the chiffon cardigan are perfect for the slightly warmer weather we are having now we are transitioning from winter to spring. However, the pink and blue stripes make the trousers very versatile, meaning you can pair it with a number of tops and make it look equally as good.
I finished the look off with my favourite pink clutch bag and high heels as they bring out the pink in the stripes which I thought was a nice finishing touch. You could wear it with a nice pair of flats or even strappy sandals to make it more appropriate for the day time.
I decided to leave out jewellery but depending on how dressy you would like this look to be, you could accessorise accordingly.

Thank you very much for reading my latest post. I promise I won't leave it as long next time!!
