The Importance of Paisley

Dress: Primark  Bag: Oasis (old)  Shoes: Dune  Necklace: Accessorize (old)

Admittedly, the photos don't really do the dress justice, as the cut of this dress (although unique and flattering) is rather difficult to photograph.

The interesting paisley pattern caught my eye immediately when I saw it in the shop and I knew that it would be a lovely summer piece. Also, with green being my favourite colour, it made it impossible not to buy. Despite such a eye- catching print, I added the accessories to tie it all together and make it a little bit more interesting without diverting attention from the dress itself. The vibrancy of the dress means that it doesn't necessarily require accessories to make it work, making it a low-maintenance, yet effective addition to your wardrobe.

I am back from the Dominican Republic now, so that means no more holiday blog posts (and prime blogging locations) *sighs*.

Although summer is coming to an end, don't be too disheartened and remember that September is a time for new beginnings. Also, with Autumn around the corner, it means that the transition into A/W fashion will bring around lots of interesting fashion choices - so much more in my comfort zone! But until that time comes, embrace the bold colours and prints that encapsulate summer.

Maxi-mizing Summer

Skirt, Shoes and Choker: Primark (old)  Top: Missguided  Bag: Accessorize (old)

My second holiday blog post!

Black and white is not the conventional colour choice whilst on holiday. Yet, I believe the pop of orange compliments the monochrome, allowing this to be a summer favourite.
The maxi skirt's intricate detail contrasts the simplicity of the crop top, allowing the skirt to speak for itself. With the choker trend being very popular at the moment, the necklace helps to give the outfit a little more edge, giving off a different type of summer look. Such as the crop top, the accessories are simple, yet effective and compliment the outfit nicely, giving it the finishing touch it needs. The shoes are a firm favourite of mine!!

I hope that anyone who received AS/A Level results today got wanted they wanted. It has been a long, tiresome wait for all. Just remember hard work pays off eventually!

Thank you to my brother Liam for taking the photos.

Paradise

Skirt: Boohoo (old)  Top: Missguided   Shoes: Dune  Bag: Oasis (old)  Necklace: Forever 21 (old)

My first blog post - and where no better place to do it than the Dominican Republic!

For me, holiday style can be very hit or miss but when it is done properly, it is very effective.
This blue chiffon skirt is a firm holiday favourite of mine, with it being the perfect colour and material to create an effortless, yet put-together summer look. The crop top is extremely versatile, yet here it helps to create the perfect summer silhouette. After a long battle with finding the right top to do such a skirt justice, I feel as though I have finally found it!! The accessories help to finish off the look, with the nude shoes and bag complimenting the outfit, alongside the blue floral necklace to make the outfit pop.

Thank you to my brother Liam for taking the photos.

Thank you for reading my first blog post, here's to the many more to come.
